GOING PINK WITH BEEFEATER'S NEW STRAWBERRY GIN FOR BREAST CANCER AWARENESS MONTH

October is in full swing, ladies and gentlemen - which means fall fun, Halloween frights, and in our world, some boozy tricks and treats. Another way that October is near and dear to our hearts is that its National Breast Cancer Awareness Month.BCRotator_1_1

From October 1st to October 31st, the American Cancer Society pulls together charities and organizations from across the country to perform fundraisers of all sorts in order to raise money for breast cancer research, which aids in providing specialized care and treatment to the many who are painfully afflicted worldwide.

Accounting for 15 percent of all new cases, breast cancer is the most common type of non-skin cancer in women in the United States, and although it is less common, men can also develop breast cancer. Unfortunately, there are several different kinds of breast cancer, and older women are at the highest risk of developing it in their lifetime. Whereas breast cancer is often hereditary, risk factors such as hormones, levels of estrogen, smoking, and obesity are some of the leading causes.

As many of us have known someone afflicted by breast cancer, we raise our glasses to each and every woman and man out there that has fought such a sickness with awe-inspiring strength and perseverance. As an ode to Breast Cancer Awareness Month, we’re highlighting Beefeater London Pink. Glowing with an exquisite baby pink hue, this bright new strawberry gin from Beefeater London is created with their recipe of signature botanicals and a whole lot of love. Delicate and kind to the tastebuds, this gorgeous sipper shines all by itself or spun into your favorite gin-based cocktail. Citrus-forward notes of orange and lemon peel blend beautifully into something as simple as an elevated G&T or a classic concoction as complex as a Ramos Gin Fizz.

If you find yourself itching to take action, take time this month to do some research within your community to see how you can contribute. Whether it be attending a local conference on the matter, participating in a workshop fundraiser, or even kicking your own butt in a boot camp or walk to raise money for the cause, show your support in any way you can this October, and set a precedent for years to come.

Try out your luck with a signature cocktail of ours made with Beefeater Pink that was featured at Rule Breakers NYC '19.
